According to Ancient Indian History. Sutak Kaal is considered as an inauspicious time. It is believed that during sutak kaal, the earth atmosphere is polluted. During this time no one should touch god idols and prevent eating or drinking. Generally sutak kaal start from 9 hours before lunar eclipse and 12 hours before solar eclipse.
On 8th November Chandragrahan Sutak kaal will start 9 hours before the lunar eclipse i.e from 9:21am IST.
What are the Do’s and Don’ts during Chandragrahan?
Firstly, it is said that sutak kaal is very inauspicious. One should not worship god, touch idols, eat, drink or sleep. Starting from the sutak kaal to the end of the grahan. Also one should not look upon the sky with naked eyes. Nor anyone should go out for work.
Moreover, one should not pull out tulsi leaves, one should take bathe after the grahan with water mixed with atleast a drop of gangajal. Lastly, after the grahan gangajal should be sprinkled all over the place in the house.
