lockdown in Bihar: Deputy Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday said that the complete Bihar would be closed from July 16 to 31 after the number of coronavirus cases increased.

“There is no Medicine drug or corona vaccine. Make sure we cover our faces with masks, bags, or towels,” said Modi.

Modi said guidelines were being prepared. Only paramedics are allowed during the 15-day closure and all stores, supermarkets, and religious sites will be closed.

On Tuesday, Covid-19 statistics in Bihar rose to 18,853 total cases with 1,432 new cases in the last 24 hours itself.

The state reported 9 deaths in COVID on Monday, bringing the death toll to 143 deaths.
The number of coronaviruses cases increased by more than 1,000 for the third day in a row. On Sunday, the state saw a total of 1,266 incidents in a single day. Of the new 1,432 cases, a total of 162 cases came from the Patna District in Bihar.

On Monday, Home Minister Shailesh Kumar tested Covid-19, a second cabinet member, with the disease. He is home alone.
His aides say the minister was not bothered by the symptoms after touching some part of his meeting in Jamalpur in Munger area and was testing them as a security measure.

The minister’s wife was COVID negative, although a servant in her home turned out to be healthy. Earlier, Vinod Kumar Singh, a social studies back and back postgraduate of public studies, and his wife were also diagnosed with the COVID-19.

Regional Magistrate Kumar Ravi ordered the closure of at least three vegetable markets in Mithapur, Kankarbag, and Rajendra Nagar.

In Begusarai, 114 people were tested for COVID-19, 107 in Nalanda, 61 in Bhagalpur, 54 in Mafoor, 48 in Munger, and 50 in Gaya. To date, 12,364 people have recovered in the state since being infected with the coronavirus.

Bihar unit chief Sanjay Jaiswal on Tuesday said more than 20 people, including four BJP executives, had undergone Covid-19 tests at the party headquarters.
However, reports from the media here say that the number of infected people is 75.

However, Jaiswal said, “Only 24 accurate samples were kept. These reports are the first rapid test and we are still waiting for the full QT-RPR results. None of those tested positive for HIV have any symptoms. But, very carefully, everyone is committed at home.”

He said the party office had collected samples on Monday at his request, adding that a visitor to the building had recently been diagnosed with Corona.
