DRDO – Anti-Drone System – Made In India: An anti-drone program developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) was launched near the Red Fort on Saturday to mark the 74th Independence Day of India. Throwing an unprecedented security ring in the Red Forest, where PM Narendra Modi made his Independence Day speech to the Nation, he said about the government success and paved the way for the future.
This is an effective context to increase drone-based operations in the western and northern parts of the country. The DRDO program successfully used the incoming drone in an experiment using its kill system. The counter-drone system is capable of detecting and destroying drones in the air.
The DRDO Counter Drone Program was first launched this year to provide security in the Republic day parade, which was attended by Brazilian President Zaire Bolsonaro and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as other dignitaries. The program was also distributed in Ahmedabad, which was designed for the Modi-Trump highway, where they were tasked with preventing any threats from drones. The advanced DRDO system can detect and inject small drones up to 3 km and use the laser to reduce the target to 1-2.5 km depending on the laser weapon expectation.
The DRDO system can temporarily detect drone threats and eliminate them. Drones are remotely controlled and can be used by aggressors or soldiers carrying explosives without any other threats they may bring.
