Good days for Jammu and Kashmir
Trending news is that District Doda has been declared as a terrorist free zone after Hizbul Mujahideen commander killed in encounter on June 29. A total of three terrorists were killed including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists, including one district commander, and one Hizbul Mujahideen commander of the name Masood.
As Masood was the last surviving terrorist in Doda district and now as he has been killed soo Doda is a terrorist free zone. The police said Masood was involved in a rape case and was absconding. He later joined the Hizbul Mujahideen and shifted his area of operation to Kashmir.
Jammu and Kashmir was a region formerly administered by India as a state from 1954 to 2019, constituting the southern and southeastern portion of the larger Kashmir region, which has been the subject of a dispute between India, Pakistan and China since the mid-20th century.
