MDH Owner Masala King Passed Away at 97.
Mr. Dharampal Gulati founder of MDH Masala. He was popularly known as Spice King.
Mr. Gulati was born in a Punjabi family on 27th March 1923 in Sialkot Punjab. Now Sialkot is a part of Pakistan after the partition.
The Masala King Mr. Gulati MDH Owner Masala King Passed away at the age of 97 on 3rd December Thursday 2020 due to cardiac arrest.

Gulati was awarded the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian honor, in 2019.
He was a school 5th Std dropout. After the partition of India and Pakistan. He came to Delhi with just Rs. 1500 in his hands. He bought a tonga of Rs. 650 out of Rs. 1500 and ferried passengers. After that, he thought of renting a shop in Delhi’s Karol Bagh and continue his family business of selling spices.
MDH is Mahashayan Di Hatti.
From a small shop in Karol Bagh, ‘Mahashay’ Dharampal Gulati built MDH as one of India’s leading spices brand. He officially established his company in 1959. At that time, he bought a piece of land in Kirti Nagar to set up a manufacturing unit. At present, MDH Spices, which reportedly manufactures nearly 50 different varieties of spices, has 15 factories across the country and sells its products across the globe.

Spice King A Great Donor.
MDH Dadaji used to donate 90% of his income to charity. Recently he has donated 7500 PPE kits to health care workers. And an undisclosed amount to Delhi CM Relief Fund.
