Raazi : Lessons to Learn!

“Sometimes a flawed diamond can sparkle and shine brighter than a polished one!”

Raazi is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language spy thriller film, directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Vineet Jain, Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banners of Junglee Pictures and Dharma Productions.

The movie stars Alia Bhatt and features Vicky Kaushal, Rajit Kapur, Shishir Sharma, and Jaideep Ahlawat in supporting roles. The movie is an adaption of Harinder Sikka’s Novel (2008) “Calling Sehmat”, a true account of Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent who, upon her father’s request, is married into a family of military officials in Pakistan to relay information to India, prior to the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.

Raazi is a movie that gives us a true female hero of her time and inspires us in our times. Sehmat puts family, personal happiness, and inter-personal relations behind her country and lets human kindness flow into the spirit of nationalism.

But the same dedicated fiercely patriotic family child- She betrayed her in-laws family who accepted her wholeheartedly in order to save her country despite knowing the fact that she might be killed.

The movie depicts a very strong feeling of nationalism and courage, to stand for the nation and to do something for the nation.

The most important lessons learnt from this movie are:

1)Courage: We don’t really know about the tracks of life, so whenever there is a situation where we can save a life by taking a step forward, we should always show courage and step forward!

2)Empathy: We should always understand others’ feelings and be nice to everybody. Everyone is fighting a battle in their life, so being kind does no harm. There might be difficult times in life where we need to go against the odd’s to stand up and raise a voice for the good, so being kind in this journey is always a plus point.

3)Family Bonding: Our family always supports us in all the situations of life, and teaches us all the morals and values. A family helps us to build our life and is the stepping stone to success. We should always respect our family and spend time with them.
