A farmer from Bihar has taken over social media by cultivating a vegetable that costs 1lakh/kg. As a matter of fact, the name of this vegetable is Hop Shoots. Bihar farmer Amresh Singh is cultivating hop shoots, the world’s costliest vegetable. Amresh Singh claims the cultivation of the world’s most expensive vegetable has begun on a trial basis and more than 60 percent of the cultivation has been done successfully.

When the agricultural department of Bihar heard the news of a man cultivating vegetables 1 lakh/kg. As a result, they went to meet the man and see the crops. Locals of the area say they have never heard of any such crops grown in their region.

A team of Hindi newspaper Dainik Jagran visited Bihar. When the team contacted Amresh Singh he said the crop is grown 172 km away in the Nalanda district. And when the team reached Nalanda he said the crop is grown in Aurangabad district.

Saurabh Jorwal, District Magistrate of Aurangabad, told Dainik Jagran. Amresh Singh has grown black rice and wheat in the past, but not hop shoots.
