Surya Grahan on 10th June 2021, Know the date, time, and place. This is the first Surya Grahan of 2021 which will appear on 10th June 2021. This Surya Grahan is very special as it is on the day of Shani Jayanti. After 148 years Surya Grahan and Shani Jayanti are on the same day. The last time was in the year 1873.

What is Surya Grahan?

When the Sun, Moon, and the Earth are aligned in a straight line, and the moon partially or fully blocks the sunlight it is called Surya Grahan or Solar Eclipse. Moreover, It can also be said that while rotating, the moon comes in between the earth and the sun and blocks the sun rays. It is known as Surya Grahan or solar eclipse.

When is Surya Grahan?

The first Surya Grahan of 2021, will appear on 10th June 2021. This Surya Grahan will be visible in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Laddakh.

Surya Grahan 2021 Timings

Surya Grahan will appear on 10th June 2021 in the afternoon from 1:42 pm till the evening at 6:41 pm. However, In Arunachal Pradesh, it will be visible in the evening at around 5:52 pm. In Laddakh it will be visible at 6:00 pm in the evening.

Surya Grahan will be mostly visible in continents like North America, Europe and some parts of Asia.

According to astrologers, This Surya Grahan is very special as it is on the day of Shani Jayanti. After 148 years Surya Grahan and Shani Jayanti are on the same day.

Do’s and Don’ts during Surya Grahan

According to Hindu Tradition, no work should be done during the Grahan period. As Grahan is considered a bad omen.

  • Don’t do any auspicious work.
  • Do not cook food or eat food.
  • Do not perform any rituals.
  • Don’t touch any God or Goddess idols.
  • Don’t touch Tulsi plant.
