WhatsApp down in India: WhatsApp stopped working in India and around the world on Wednesday morning. Users complained that messages were not sent or received. Some users even claim to have failed to access the WhatsApp app on Android and iOS. Now the issues are fixed and the messaging platform works well.
Shortly after the service went down, users took to Twitter to complain about it. Hashtags like #WhatsApp and #WhatsAppDown are starting to appear and trend on Twitter. Users have started sending memes to the platform about the ever-declining WhatsApp service.
According to DownDector, more than 58% of WhatsApp users have complained about the connection issue, which means that these users can not use the platform at all or open the app. more than 38% of users complained about issues such as sending and receiving messages, while 3% of users said they could not access the messaging platform at all.
According to Downdector, the problems started hitting consumers around 1:30 a.m IST on Wednesday. Users in India, Sri Lanka, Peru, London, New Delhi, New York, Brazil, Netherlands, Germany, Egypt, Colombia, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Romania, Trinidad and Tobago, Ireland, have complained about WhatsApp issues.
This is not the first time this issue has been faced in the WhatsApp world. No announcement has been made so far on the release of the messaging platform hosted by Facebook. Increased consumption may cause service to decline.
With everyone stuck at home due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, WhatsApp usage has skyrocketed. Users use the platform to connect with their loved ones who live far away. Voice and video calls increased during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
