Moreover, Hitesha claimed that the Zomato delivery guy was very rude and pushed her, took her order and ran away. “I gave him a choice saying I do not need the order so you can take it, I am okay. But he refused to take the order back and he started screaming at me, saying ‘Am I a slave or what? You are asking me to wait here.’”
Furthermore, she continued that, “So, it was really threatening for me. I tried to shut my door but he pushed the door, took my order from the table, that is he entered my home and punched me on my face so that I don’t get back to him, and he ran away.” In the clip, she also spoke about the people in her society, who are not much interested and forthcoming in such matters.

Zomato delivery guy reply on these allegations
Kamaraj (Zomato delivery guy) says that it was Hitesha who abused him and then hit him with a chappal. “After I reached her apartment, I handed her the food and I was expecting her to pay me(as she had opted on cash on delivery mode). I also apologized since the delivery was delayed due to traffic. But she was very rude at the outset. She asked me ‘Why are you late?’, to which I replied apologetically, as there were road blocks due to ongoing civic works and there were traffic jams as well. But she kept on insisting that the order has to be delivered within 45-50 minutes. I am working on this job for more than two years and this is the first time that I have had to go through this kind of an ordeal”, Zomato delivery guy stated.

Furthermore, Kamaraj says that she took the food and then refused to pay for the order. She said that she was talking with Zomato customer care. Fearing that he would lose money, he requested her to pay for the order. Moreover, Kamaraj says, “At this point, she called me a slave and then started shouting ‘What can you do?’. Meanwhile, Zomato support told me that they have canceled the order from their end based on her request. I asked her to return the food but she did not cooperate.”
Furthermore, Kamaraj decided to leave the building without taking away the food. “At this point when I was walking towards the lift, she starting using abusive curse words in Hindi. She suddenly threw slippers at me and started hitting me. For my safety, while she was hitting me, I tried to use my hands to shield her blows. When she was trying to push my hand away, she accidentally hit herself with her finger ring on the nose, which led to the bleeding. Anybody who sees her face, will understand that this wouldn’t be created by a punch, and I don’t wear any rings.”, said Kamaraj.
What happened next?
Hitesha Chandranee did not allow him to leave using the lift, so the delivery guy had to run down using the stairs. Moreover, he also stated that, “The Zomato support person in Delhi also supported me and offered me empathy after I narrated the ordeal that I had to go through. The problem is there is no CCTV footage to prove my innocence.
Kamaraj was called by the Electricity phase 1 police station where he was questioned for two hours. Kamaraj said, “The police did not disrespect me in any way. But now, I have to spend Rs. 25,000 for legal expenses to prevent my arrest.”
According to Joshi Srinath Bengaluru DCP (South East), the Zomato delivery man, Kamaraj, was arrested shortly after the content creator Hitesha Chandranee posted the video on social media and tagged the city police, who asked her to provide the area details to assist her further.
The case is still being looked upon and the final statement is yet to be declared. Hope to receive the true judgement and hope justice is done.
